Well, I have a ton of excuses, but mostly I just got so caught up in life that I forgot about this blog all together. It's a sad thing to admit, but I'd feel worse if I had been posting on a regular schedule then quit with no explanation.
Luckily, I remembered in time for me to write a review of Hostage by Kay Hooper. I have been dying to read the latest Bishop novel and I decided to treat myself when I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas. The review should be done shortly after I read the book (though now that I'm working full time that may take longer than I would've hoped.)

The First Post...
I'm going to be honest because it seems like the best way to start a blog of honest book reviews. I hate writing the first post of a new blog. It's like meeting in-laws for the first time, you want to make the best impression possible while still being yourself.
In any case, I like to keep introductions short, sweet and to the point. I just wanted something to encourage me to keep reading and writing. Lately, I've had writer's block and so I find things that "just have to be done." This is my way of getting back into the habit of writing regularly and without too much pressure on myself.
Is my opinion the only one that counts? No, it most certainly is not. In fact, I encourage discussion on any and every book review I post. I would also love to post others' reviews on books that aren't to my particular tastes. I like to read almost everything, but I can't read everything. If there is a book that you want the world to know is amazingly awesome (or horrendously horrible...I like alliteration), please, feel free to send me an email with the review!
